There is a very popular paid antivirus app in the play store, which was actually a scam.
App name is "VIRUS SHIELD".
The cost of this app is $3.99 and it has been purchased by approximate 10,000 users.
The Virus Shield Android Application claimed to protect user from viruses, malwares and spywares, but in actual it doesn't scan anything and it has been removed from the store once the fraud had been uncovered.
If you have purchased this app, don't worry, check you email account. Google support has contacted everyone who has purchased this app and refunded who amount of this app $3.99 and offered an extra $5 Google Play Store credit to each, which can be used to purchase apps, games, books, music and movies from play store.
